The formation of cancer
All types of cancer, the basic unit of the body are generated by cells, understanding how normal cells become cancer may look like, help to understand cancer.
The body is composed of many kinds of cells composed of. Basically, in order to maintain physical health and normal function of the operation, the cell will be split growth, and create more cells. However, these processes are sometimes confused - and when the new cells will not be required from time to time has continued to split the cells. These extra cells form a mass or tumor Neoplasia. Cancer may be benign or malignant.
Benign tumor is not cancer. They usually can be removed, and the majority will not relapse. Benign tumor will not spread to other parts of the body. More importantly, will not pose a threat to life.
Malignant tumors are cancer. Malignant cells are not to be controlled by abnormal splitting. Violations and destruction of cancer cells will be around the organization. Also from the destruction of malignant cells into the blood and lymphatic system, and then spread to other organs and form a new cancer, this is called metastasis.
Lung structure and function
Lungs like a pair of sponge-like, cone-shaped organs, are part of the respiratory system. Right lung lobe consists of three, left lung lobe by the two components; right lung slightly larger than the left lung. When we inhale, the lung to allow oxygen into our cells need oxygen to survive but also to implement their normal functions. When we breath, the lung will remove carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide is a waste of body cells.
Awareness of lung cancer
Divided into two main types of lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer, which is under the microscope in accordance with cell type and points. Each of the growth and spread of lung cancer in different ways, treatment is not the same.
Non-small cell lung cancer: small cell lung cancer than is usually common, and its relatively slow growth and proliferation. Non-small cell lung has three main types, their name is based on the type of sub-cells happen, has squamous cell carcinoma (also called epidermoid carcinoma), adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma.
Small cell lung cancer: sometimes called oat cell cancer, than non-small cell lung cancer rare. This lung cancer grow faster and are more likely to spread to other organs.
