Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been newly diagnosed breast cancer patients to assess their situation in the role of contralateral breast

This is an article published in New England Journal of Medicine by the end of March 2007 summary of the article. 
Based on past research, for the recently diagnosed breast cancer patients, the other side of the probability of breast cancer is as high as 10 percent, so check to see if magnetic resonance imaging has its role, is worthy of observation. 
The results showed: MRI was on the other side of breast cancer detection sensitivity of up to 9-cheng, specificity is also nearly 9-cheng, and the negative predictive rate is closer to 100 percent. 
Therefore, for the MRI mammography and clinical examination of the other side of impossible to find out whether the breast cancer also is very helpful.
